Piggy Banks!!
If you haven't already done so, go to our local banks, First Community Credit Union and Stock Growers Bank, to check out the 1st graders' decorated piggy banks. They received these piggies from the NDSU Extension Services and learned about saving money for something special or a rainy day aiming to instill positive financial habits at an early age.
This contest will go through the first week in May. You simply add coins to the piggy bank of your choosing. Each bank will award prize money to the top 3 piggy banks containing the most money. Plus they get to keep the money in their piggy banks giving them a jump start on saving for that special item.
A sincere thank you goes to Stock Growers Bank, First Community Credit Union, the NDSU Extension Services, and our community for supporting this project!

Reading Month is coming to an end! Tomorrow we will have Pajama Day for the elementary.
At the end of the day, students will head to the gym for flashlight reading, popcorn, and a short film.
Your child may wear pajamas and bring a small blanket, pillow (in a bag), and a flashlight.
Please make sure all reading logs are returned by Monday, March 30 so students who meet their classroom goal can participate in the bowling party.
We’re excited for a fun way to celebrate all their reading!
