Tonight we have two JH Boys games in Napoleon vs. Linton starting at 4:00. Then there is Varsity girls vs. Kidder County (JV game starts at 6:00). Per NDHSAA policy Masks are recommended for all events. Also, we are still in need of concession workers for tonight and some other home events. Please call the school if you can help. Mask update:
With the mask mandate lifted, when school is back in session tomorrow, Tuesday, January 19th, Napoleon Public School will not mandate masks unless social distancing isn’t possible. We will go back to the way things were before the mask mandate. Some classes will require masks when we can’t social distance but other smaller classes will not have to wear masks. As of now, close contacts will still have to quarantine as the rule states, but if everyone is wearing a mask, quarantining for most students should not be an issue. Close contact image attached.
When the NDHSAA sends out an update for sporting events, we will share that information as well. Thank you for your cooperation in making this a smooth transition.

Tomorrow (Jan. 14th) we have home wrestling starting at 3:30 in the high school gym. Also at 6:00 PM we have home GBB with a JV and Varsity game. In the Community Center tomorrow we have JH GBB with the 7th grade game at 4:00 and the 8th grade game at 5:00. We will be serving concessions tomorrow in the HS with popcorn, candy and pizza! The Imperial Boys Basketball team defeated the Medina-Pingree-Buchanon Thunder 53 to 45 for 5th place in the Stutsman County Tourney.
Imperial Boys basketball team defeated the Kidder County 58 to 52 in the consolation bracket. Saturday at 4pm, Jan. 9th, the Imperial Boys will be playing Medina Pingree Buchanan for 5th place.

In effort to continue with High School sports, NDHSAA wants to make sure we are following the current state health order that requires face coverings for sporting events. We will be enforcing the face mask rule for all fans at sporting events. You are REQUIRED to wear a face mask. If you do not, you will be asked to leave. If necessary, we may stop the game until everyone has a face mask on. If you can’t follow this rule and jeopardize our ability to have high school sports at Napoleon Public School, you may be banned from sporting events until further notice. Please follow these rules to ensure our athlete can enjoy playing extra-curricular activities.
